Category: Central Greece

One of the largest areas in Greece , it stretches from the shore of the Ionian Sea to the shores of the Aegean . The region is divided up into five prefectures with an area of 16,900 square kilometres. The region is dominated by the mountains of Agrafa, Tymphristos and others. Small fertile plains where they grow, a wide range of agricultural produce, nestle between the mountains. Mining and quarrying are to be found in the mountains of Parnassus and Pentelli.

The region has much to offer, history, rugged mountains, fertile plains and beaches and coves, all of which make it an ideal destination, for tourists summer and winter.
