Antiparos Island

Antiparos this small island just a hop, skip and a jump from Paros is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet from busy Paros . Around the harbour are a few cafes and tavernas catering for visitors, further in the town it is more peaceful and the roads lead you out into the countryside. The Cave of Antiparos is stunning, despite the fact that many of the stalagmites and stalactites have been damaged or stolen. In 1673, the French ambassador, the Marquis de Nointel, held a Christmas mass here, complete with a large orchestra for 500 people.

Next to Paros is the small and beautiful island of Antiparos. Antiparos is a very small island which gives you a very intimate and friendly feeling to visit. Every corner of the island has its own amazing view. It has beautiful and clean beaches, as well as picturesque stone-paved alleys, and you will no doubt be won over by the traditional food – which includes fresh fish or local meat cooked according to traditional recipes.
