Serifos

Serifos with its mountainous and small fertile valleys, wonderful beaches, small villages and the stunning Chora, will enchant the visitor.

Livadi this pleasant port located on the tree lined beach, with its tavernas and hotels makes for an enjoyable introduction to the island.

Chora is situated high up on the hillside and overlooked by the ruins of a old Ventian

Fortress. Chora is possibly one of the most charismatic villages in the Cyclades . You can saunter up to Chora along a zigzag path, but in the high temperatures of the summer its better to go by taxi or bus. In the town is the impressive Neo-Classical town hall, standing in the main square. Many of the white washed houses have been built with stones taken from the castle, and have been bought by Mainlanders as holiday homes. In the town, you can find excellent tavernas that sell delicious food. Wonderful beaches are to found around the island, were you can sunbathe in privacy. The monastery of Moni Taxiarchon has some 18th century frescoes and valuable manuscripts.
